Fraser Design and Puppet is a Sydney based design and puppet workshop run by Paul Fraser, a NIDA Theatre Crafts graduate with over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry as a props maker, puppet maker and designer.
Paul was the puppet character designer and maker on ABC's Giggle and Hoot (2009- 2019) and Hoot Hoot Go (2015).
Hoot, Hootabelle, Giggle Bones, Mini Fangella, Giggle Wings, Hoot Pa, Pirate Hootbeard, Pirate Mini Hootbeard, Giggle Fangs, Giggle Bug, Giggle Paws, the re-design of Giggleasaurus, Hootly, Hootaluna, Giggle Bot, Tommy Tomato, Cosmo Carrot, Bessie Broccoli, Giggle Spikey and Hootagadget were all designed and then made by Paul (excluding costumes, hats, etc).
2D line art merchandise images of Hoot, Hootabelle, Giggle Paws, Giggleasaurus, Mini Hoot and Hootly, etc, were also predominantly drawn by Paul.
Paul has worked on the Matrix movie and has been the head props maker/designer on children's television shows such as - Hi-5 (2000-2006), Bambaloo (Henson's/Yorum Gross) 2003, Disney's Playhouse (2004) and Cushion Kids (2001).
In 2007 Paul worked in Japan as a puppeteer for the Kirin Beverage Company's Eco Panda recycling campaign and has puppeteered for several Disney interstitials and Theatre of Image's pre recorded elements on Monkey Journey to the West.
